The Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce has an opening for a person with at least 5 years experience in the construction industry. A college degree in the construction industry or related field is desired, however experience will be accepted. The candidate must have the ability to effectively coach and mentor our clients, plus become an effective advocate for our M/WBE construction services program.

Requirements

* Able to coordinate a “Plan Room”

 

* Knowledgeable of the bid estimation process

 

* Able to read blue prints

 

* Be the project liaison for contractors with Architects & Engineers

 

* Keep clients informed of bid procurement opportunities

 

* Knowledgeable of the bonding/insurance process

 

* Teach or coordinate technical assistant classes

 

* Knowledgeable of the various HUB/MWBE certification processes

 

* Be able to build sustainable relationships with major contractors and developers

 

The position requires 20-25 flexible hours per week and the annual pay range is $18,000 to $22,000 annually.
